The Porter’s Reading Roots initiative aims to cultivate a love for reading among underserved children in Jamaica by providing access to quality books and engaging reading materials. This program not only donates books but also creates reading spaces and hosts storytelling sessions, encouraging literacy and fostering a community of young readers. By connecting children with diverse literature, we empower them to explore new worlds, enhance their literacy skills, and build a foundation for lifelong learning. Through Porter’s Reading Roots, we strive to make reading accessible and enjoyable, igniting a passion for literature in every child we reach.

EYES: Empowering Your Eyesight and Sight is an initiative focused on collecting preloved glasses and repurposing them for underprivileged individuals living in Jamaica. By facilitating the donation of gently used eyewear, we aim to improve access to vision correction for those who cannot afford it. This program not only helps individuals regain clear sight but also promotes sustainability by giving new life to glasses that would otherwise go unused. Through community engagement and collaboration, we strive to raise awareness about the importance of eye health and the impact of providing accessible vision solutions. Our hope is to expand this initiative to other countries.
